Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda teamed up with nearly two dozen Latino stars to make a fundraising song for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico.
Miranda released the track titled "Almost Like Praying" just after midnight on Friday with all proceeds benefitting hispanicfederation.org's efforts to provide relief to Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
The 3-minute song features a total of 22 prominent Latino artists including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Luis Fonsi, Fat Joe, Gloria Estefan, Gina Rodriguez, Rina Moreno and others.
Miranda promoted the song on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Thursday night while also sharing an "awkward puberty video" of himself as part of Colbert and actor Nick Kroll's #puberme relief fundraiser.
Miranda has supported The Hispanic Federation since the powerful Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico creating a humanitarian crisis.
"I know there's a tendency for fatigue because we've just been through two hurricanes. And we can't be fatigued when it comes to our fellow Americans," he said.
"Almost Like Praying" is now available to purchase or stream via iTunes and other music services.
