Dallas Cowboys QB Mark Sanchez to see bulk of snaps in season finale

With nothing to play for in the season finale on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys largely plan to go with Plan C at quarterback against the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to multiple media reports, Mark Sanchez will see the bulk of the action under center. The Cowboys, who previously wrapped up the NFC East title and the top seed for the NFC playoffs, reportedly will limit starter Dak Prescott's minutes.

ESPN.com reported that Dallas doesn't plan to use backup Tony Romo, adding that all three QBs participated in practice Thursday.

"We haven't decided how that's going," Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan told ESPN.com. "Jason will I'm sure give you more information as we get closer to the game, but right now guys are just getting ready to play and get ready to play as well as we can on Sunday."

Sanchez's season statistics consist of one pass, an 8-yard completion against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 6. He was in for eight snaps, two of them kneel-downs to complete a 35-10 win.

Last season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Sanchez appeared in four games, completing 59 of 91 passes for 616 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. He was 0-2 as a starter.

Sanchez has a 37-35 career record as a starting quarterback with the New York Jets and the Eagles. He has 86 career TDs passes and 84 interceptions while compiling a 74.3 passer rating.

Prescott is nearing the end of a stellar rookie campaign, winning 13 of 15 games while completing 68.1 percent of his passes for 3,630 yards and 23 touchdowns with four interceptions. His 105.7 passer rating ranks third in the NFL.

Veteran running back Darren McFadden also figures to get more playing time than rookie starter Ezekiel Elliott on Sunday, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
