Sept. 13 (UPI) -- A Florida nun is being praised online after video emerged showing her using a chainsaw to clear downed trees from roads while dressed in her habit.
Miami-Dade Police posted photos and video to Facebook showing Sister Margaret Ann of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School in Miami wielding a chainsaw to cut downed trees into smaller parts so they could be removed from roadways after Hurricane Irma swept through the area.
The nun smiles for the camera while clad in her full religious regalia and holding tight to the chainsaw.
"One of our off duty officers was happy to find Sister Margaret Ann of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School pitching in by cutting trees to clear the neighborhood roadways," the Facebook post said. "As we recover from #HurricaneIrma, these acts of kindness remind us all that we are #OneCommunity in #MiamiDadeCounty! Thank you Sister and all of our neighbors that are working together to get through this! #MiamiDadeStrong."
