Katie Lowes of 'Scandal' expecting baby boy

May 12 (UPI) -- Katie Lowes is going to be a first-time mom.

The 35-year-old actress announced on Thursday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she's pregnant and expecting a baby boy with husband Adam Shapiro.

"My husband and I, we're expecting our first baby," Lowes told host Jimmy Kimmel. "It's a boy!

"

"We have zero names [in mind]," she confessed. "My husband's a huge basketball fan, so for years we've been calling him LeBron. We call him LeBron, BronBron as a joke."

Lowes and Shapiro, an actor known for Sense8 and Kingdom, married in 2012. The actress shared details about her camp-themed wedding in an interview with Live with Kelly in April.

"I was a wedding planner's assistant for years. And I knew I did not want to have a traditional wedding because I had worked a million of them. So my husband and I got married at a sleep away camp in the Berkshires," she said.

"We rented a whole camp. We had a variety show, we had a color war, we had 215 people in cabins. The cops came. There was a drum circle. There was a fire pit," the star added. "It was the most fun weekend of my life."

Lowes plays Quinn Perkins on the ABC series Scandal, which will reportedly come to a close after Season 7. The actress dodged questions about the show's end during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel.

"I don't know anything. You have to ask [series creator] Shonda [Rhimes] or ABC," she said.
