'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' stars reunite at movie premiere

May 16 (UPI) -- Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants stars delighted fans Monday by reuniting at a movie premiere.

Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel and America Ferrera supported co-star Amber Tamblyn by attending a New York screening of the actress' directorial debut, Paint It Black.

"My favorite girls came through last night.

Love them," Tamblyn, who played Tibby Tomko-Rollins in Sisterhood, wrote on Instagram.

Ferrera, who portrayed Carmen Lowell, shared a group photo with Tamblyn, Lively and Bledel. She, Tamblyn and Lively all wore black, while Bledel stunned in a colorful, floral-print dress.

"Can you see my heart bursting out of my body? I love being with my sisters especially when it's to celebrate," Ferrera captioned the picture.

"@amberrosetamblyn directed her stunning first film, Paint It Black, which comes out this Friday!" she added. "The Sisterhood came out last night to celebrate her enormous talents. We are beyond proud and glowing for her."

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants opened in theaters in 2005, and was followed by a 2008 sequel. Lively, who played Bridget Vreeland, told E! News in July that she would be interested in a third movie.

"We would love that," the actress said. "We are such good friends.

"It would have to be something that would really respect and honor the story in a way that makes it worth it to come back after so long," she qualified. "It would have to be a story that has grown with our audience."
